Tui Na Massage – Relaxation and Body Benefits
Tui Na massage differs from Western massage techniques, particularly through its focus on energy (the harmonization or regulation of Qì), as well as the great diversity of manipulative techniques.
What conditions can Tui Na massage treat?
It is personalized! No one will receive exactly the same massage from A to Z. Indeed, the Tui Na aims to ensure the free and unobstructed circulation of energy (Qi) through the meridians that run through the body. It works on energy nodes or imbalances (excesses or deficiencies of energy), as well as on muscle tensions and blockages, using precise movements such as friction, pinching, stretching, and tapping to restore balance in the body and enhance overall well-being.
The Tui Na is clearly a therapeutic massage. Depending on your condition, it can be relaxing or energizing. The technique can initially be surprising, as the movements are powerful and applied deeply, targeting the most tense areas of the body. Ultimately, it provides deep relaxation while energizing the body in the days following the session. This massage acts like a 'reset' for the body. The next day, it often feels as if the body has restarted.

Promotion of a session
A TUI-NA massage session takes place in 4 steps:
1. Patient interview.
The session begins with an interview lasting about 5 minutes. This consists of a discussion with the patient to establish a diagnosis and determine which meridians and organs are involved in the condition. In the case of osteoarticular disorders, the therapist may need to perform tests to identify the affected areas.
2 massage
The patient lies on a massage table with a heated lamp in a private room. The session begins with the therapist identifying areas of tension by kneading the back and neck, then works out the knots one by one with deep massage.
3 energies
Based on the previously established diagnosis, the therapist will choose to treat the affected meridians. The therapist then continues by stimulating energy points to restore flow in the meridians. By removing blockages, energy is released to promote deep and lasting well-being.
4 End of session
Finally, the patient rehydrates with a homemade herbal tea provided and can then schedule new consultations according to the therapist’s recommendations.
